Study of Potential Shared Services UnderwayPosted on Thursday February 1, 2007 2:54 PM
Members of the Warren-Morris Council of Governments discussed the executive summary of their shared service study during their January meeting. The two areas of shared service interest held by all the participating municipalities were Records Management and Telecommunications. A subcommittee was formed to pursue a joint effort at obtaining grants for electronic records management and document storage. A final report from Patriot Consulting, which is performing the study, will be presented at the March meeting. The report will include a full analysis, recommendations and a secondary survey which can be self-administered by municipalities that join the CoG in the future. The study, and a website designed to facilitate the sharing of information amongst municipalities, were funded entirely by a state grant. |
